Our school provides educational programs for students aged between 5-18 years with an intellectual impairment. A large percentage of our school population also has additional disabilities, including autism, hearing, vision and physical impairments.

In Semester 1 2016, approximately 220 students are enrolled in our school. These students come from a large geographical area centred around Southport.

For children of compulsory school age, enrolment is subject to the process outlined in Education Queensland’s Procedure: Enrolment in State Primary, Secondary and Special Schools which can be located on the Department of Education, Training and Employment website.

To be enrolled in our school students must:

  1. Be diagnosed with an intellectual disability; and
  2. Live within the school's catchment area (i.e. that Southport is the closest special school to their home).

For more information pertaining to enrolment please contact us or alternatively the Principal Education Officer (PEO) at the Robina Office of Education Queensland on telephone (07) 5562 4888.
